Did you know… If your smoke alarms:

• Were manufactured before 2010

• Are ionisation Type

• Are faulty

they all need to be replaced to the current requirements in Queensland which are:

• Photoelectric

• Interconnected (smoke alarms talk to each other… when one goes off they all go off)

• Hard wired OR 10yr non-removable lithium battery

• Positioned in ALL bedrooms / hallways leading to bedrooms and each storey of the house

All landlords MUST be compliant by January 2022 and private homeowners by January 2027
